Everyone that travels to Tuscany dreams about the classic outdoor experience under the The Tuscan Sun , right? The issue is that sometimes the effort of renting a car and spending 2 or 3 days exploring Tuscany countryside just doesn't fit at your travel itinerary and you need to find nice things to do near Florence - that is the capital of Italy Tuscany region, where most of the tourists arrive directly by plane.
That's the precise reason why I consider this blog post a jewel for all of you that are planning a trip to Tuscany! We found this beautiful park just 30 min by car from Florence, where you can enjoy a nice & super instagrammable Picnic - surrounded by the olive trees and the dreamy tuscan hills!
This park is part of the Fattoria di Maiano property and you can pay the entrance ticket to enjoy the day there (by the time I've been there it costed me less than 10 euro per person).
There is a grocery shop by the entrance, where you can order fresh prosciutto and cheese to-go. They don't have many options of wine bottles over there, so it's better if you bring your own, as well as all the other Picnic tools you may need.
This park can be a beautiful Venue option for a wedding welcome Picnic or a Tuscan birthday party. I would be so excited to organize a special set up there and see all your guests enjoying the same amazing sunset I had the opportunity to appreciate this day, during our shooting with the talented Marcela - photographer from @hashtagitaly.
